Lights

Featured Replies

Hi everybody new to forum. Looking for help with my light. I am finding harder to see on wet dark night, due to head lights being really poor. I have tried replacement Led's bulbs  but yes they gave a whiter light but then the distance of the beam was difference between low and high beam  just the light went out sideways.  Can anybody help please.

Fit better halogen bulbs, Osram Nightbreaker Lasers etc

You can't fit LED bulbs to reflector headlamps

They don't work, they blind people and they fail MOT

I can understand me whinging about my lights on a 20 year old car, but you'd have thought a 2025 car would be better??

I'm not being cheeky here just truthful, it's an Optician you need different Lamps will not help you.

How can an optician help with night vision?  Can lenses really correct that?  I've had poor night vision for years.

I've just asked my partner (she works for a national chain of opticians, not SpecSavers!), and she says that there are some finishes that can be ordered that do help reduce glare from headlights at night, like 'anti reflective' coatings or Polarised lenses...

I`m surprised Ford have not sorted out this problem.  I had it on my 2017 Edge sport way back then.( Gone now )  I fitted LED bulbs to all at the front and though did improve , never had quite enough range on main beam .  If you search this forum you will see a lot of discussion re the lighting on the Edge.

I don't know Tom what I do know is that I had difficulty reading in low light, for example in a dimly lit restaurant until I admitted to myself that I had a problem and had my eyes tested. I now have reading glasses and have no problem and I'm now on a yearly eye check up because of my age.

As for the Edge being different to other modern cars, maybe it has more to do with the age of the people who buy SUV's, who knows.
