recently purchased a Ford galaxy 2016 diesel with automatic gear box, the car is now 154k miles on the clock, after driving for few hours or so I realised the car finds hard to shift gear (empty shifting) I guess, so I have to go in to S mode and switch manually , and very slow from gear to gear, then I realised if I switch the car off and wait for 5min it will work fine for another 20min or so, the long it stays off the long its drives normally, I;m wondering if anyone have some clue about what's going on. also the hill assist is faulty when try to reverse from  hill I realised it won't move, can these be related? also inside the car only the middle heater in blowing hot.

Even though I realise there's a chance you won't see this, it's done 154k miles, it's probably time to send it to the rust bucket in the sky

If there's no history of Powershift (?) oil and filter changes, doing that is perhaps your only hope?
You have at least 3 faults:  gearbox, heater and hill launch (which may be associated with ABS and other systems about which I know nothing except that we have it as an option and it rarely makes itself known)?

Edit; get oil & filter off e-Bay (Westway Lubricants) and get someone who follows the correct procedure (it's NOT a level plug at the side!!!) to do it.

After that, you can only see if it improves and decide from there?
