Park Aid module.

Featured Replies

Afternoon all

Got a Park Aid malfunction coming up. Wiring and sensors have been checked and no faults found. Assuming it’s the PAM that has the issue.
This is where the fun starts. Been to Ford and the part number given for the PAM is only partially recognised on the Ford parts database. The chap at Ford was stumped as to why because now he can’t offer a replacement.
Has anyone else had this issue and found a replacement part?
Many thanks.

Hi

The part number that is assigned to my vehicle is FU5T-15K866-BJ.

I look forward to hearing from you

Many thanks

Find the same part on Ebay the last "J" letter can be higher, all other letters and numbers MUST match.

They are plug and play

And there aren't any I've just looked

That's probably because you fit a generic module then install the firmware for your vehicle, which is probably what you'll have to do.

Or look on USA Ebay and take the hit on postage

Have you actually seen this module in your car ?

The last version of this module made was FU5T-15K866-BL

From what I'm seeing the parking sensor control may have been integrated in to the Body Control Module (BCM) on later versions of the Edge, which is why I'm asking if you have seen the parking module in your vehicle.

I haven’t seen it. The garage has. Where is it located and is it easy to get to? Sorry to be so clueless. I guess I am looking for that model number on the PAM?

Yes, if you find it

Looking at the Ford Edge Catalogue of parts for a 2016 model there is no PAM shown as fitted.
