Heater valve 2000

Featured Replies

I'm getting warm air through the face level vents when the dial is set to cold.

Under the bonnet, by the wipers, both heater pipes are hot, so water is flowing.

What is the common problems on these? sticky? I guess I should hit it when summer arrives.  I think I did this a while ago.

There is no 'Heater Valve' the hot water flows through the heater matrix all of the time. It is the heater vent flaps which move to direct either warm or cold air in to the cabin.

It's common on older vehicles for the vents to stick, or for those with electrically operated vents, for the actuator to fail.

It is an air con model. but I also recall a non A/C model having one too.

It's weird, because the matrix pipes are very hot, but the air isn't too bad.   So probably are flaps too.

Air to windscreen is cold, but face vents in middle, slightly warm
