Suspension Swap: Fiesta 1.4 TDCi Standard Chassis to Sport

Hi everyone,

I own a 2011 Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCi with a standard chassis, and I was wondering if I could swap my standard springs for the sport springs from a Fiesta 1.6 TDCi (sport chassis).

My car is insured in France and has a French technical inspection (Contrôle Technique). I’d like to know:

1. Are the 1.6 TDCi sport springs physically compatible with my 1.4 TDCi Fiesta (same mounts, no extra modifications required)?

2. Would this swap be legal in France, or would I need an additional inspection/homologation (like a DREAL approval)?

3. Has anyone done a similar swap, and did you face any issues with insurance or the authorities?
