Fiesta

Featured Replies

I have a fiesta 2018 active x it's been fully serviced and has done 38000 miles, just a bit concerned about the wet belt should it be changed

This may get you started, hang on to your hat!:

The Ford recommended maximum interval for belt replacement is 10 years. People I know who have had annual service/oil change, got theirs done at 9 or sooner.

You mention that yours has been "fully serviced" but Ford changed the recommended service interval on the Mk 8 Fiesta (2017-on)  to 18,000 miles or 2 years, whichever soonest. So yours might only have had 3 oil changes so far? If so, it might be prudent to have it done fairly soon and switch to annual oil changes.

I'm leaving mine until November 2025 when it will be 10 years old currently on 35k miles as the Ford recommendation is 10 years or 150,000 miles whichever comes first.

That-a-boy... you show'em. Ford are always correct in these matters 😁

Would that be 11:00am on Tuesday 11th Nov ?

Then we can have a 2 minutes silence in remembrance of your engine 🤣

Bit of a nailbiter there. If it does go boom before then, in theory it should qualify for Ford's latest "goodwill" support, assuming it has the full service record.

I don't think we've had anyone report success with that yet, though?

it has a full-service history so should qualify for Ford's goodwill scheme although I'm not expecting to use it.

Presumably you will get it done shortly before the exact 10 year mark? Unfortunately we've had a couple of people report disaster in the short interval between booking the job and actually getting it done.

Anyway, best of luck and look forward to a positive outcome in November!
