I'me going to purchase a Ford Kuga 2ltr diesel 2021-2022 model, I will be towing a caravan with this car, any advise to what model to go for would be a great help, and what type of engine it has.

    Id have a look at the MTPLM of the caravan, then check that the Kuga is allowed to tow that weight. Probably most models will be but best to check. The logbook will tell you the max allowed towing weight.

    Do you know how to calculate the theoretical max towing weight from the weight plate?
    And don't forget the 85% rule (This is bound to get things going!!!)

    We tow 1500 kg Swift with 163 S-Max Powershift all over Europe (the 140 was gutless)

    Suggest the bigger more powerful diesel the better and use several matching sites to confirm plus  perhaps ask on Caravantalk (but don't mention the 85% rule!!!)

    Im only allowed 1200kg with my car, so even if i had a caravan, id be very limited in the the ones i could go for.
