Mk 7.5 2016 Titanium - LHS steering wheel volume fault

Featured Replies

Hi All,

My 2016 Ford Fiesta mark 7.5? has a problem with the steering control volume buttons and call answering.

The right side is fine (cruise control) so I need to look at the left side.

I've found videos on pushing the steering wheel under the control which does nothing.

The most likely is the contacts inside the LHS control unit.

I've removed the battery overnight and the 3 T10 screws on the rear at the 3,6 and 9 o'clock positions but cannot get the silver plastic V-shaped trim off.

There seems little information and trying to release catches with a credit card (shim) is not cutting it.

Has anyone taken this off and can give some tips, please?

Did cleaning the contacts work?

Many thanks in advance.

(The typical I'll nip and do a 10 minute job has taken hours so far!!)
