TPM Tyre Pressure Monitor issue

Featured Replies

Hi

My tyres are inflated as manual says

Front 33PSI

Rear 26 PSI

But when I look at the car dashboard & Ford pass app they display it as this.

Front 37 PSI

Rear 30 PSI

I have tested tyres with 2 different pressure guages, AND made sure they were PSI too.

Only things recently was 2 new Rear tyres fitted, where I watched them being fitted and know they weren't  physically  damaged.

Went out for drive a week later and after about 100 miles the tps warning came on, so I pulled over and checked tyres then reset.

This hasn't happened since, last 200 miles so far.

I wouldhave thought it would be strange if it was a faulty sensor, given all 4  sensors on car dasboard and fordpass are showing different PSI, to my tyre guage

Do tyres need to be removed to diagnose or replace?

Car will be having MOT in July, so just wanted to post this to ask if this looks like maybe sensors are on the way out, I have extended warranty which ends last day of July, so maybe replacement would be covered?

Car is 2019 Fiesta 26,000 miles on clock

Many thanks for reading

The display will show what the Pressures were when the car was last parked up and the Tyres were hot. It normally takes a minute or so of driving to register the actual pressure from a cold start.

Having said that they normally only gain a couple of psi when hot, not as much as your ones are showing.

Thanks For your reply

Yes I guessed that it can take a while for the display to update   but I've been driving around for a week or so and it's remained the same
