Hi all I have a st2 fiesta st180 I’ve got a set of folding wing mirrors do they need to be programmed

Never seen folding WING mirrors !! 🤔

They must just be purely mechanical as it's more than 50 years since Ford used wing mirrors.

Of course the much more modern DOOR mirrors can be obtained in a power fold version. They are not just Plug 'n' Play if the car was not built with them. They require extra wiring, different door control modules and a switch. The vehicles BCM and/or PCM and DDM will need software updates.

Thanks Eric I might buy a laptop from eBay with Forescan on it 

No extra wiring needed as fiesta st2 have the heated mirrors both side it’s a case of telling the car via Forescan that it now has folding mirrors I have the mirrors and switch to go in car

 

i also have the false floor boot to go in a rare fiesta st200 option just need time to fit bits I’m Portsmouth area if there’s any other

I've often wondered about that. Do you take your number plates off the car before driving it out on the public roads ?

If I was in need of finding a car of a certain type in order to clone the number plates then I'd just call round to the supermarket car park on a Saturday afternoon and have my pick of a few hundred models 🤣
