Which Battery?

Featured Replies

The 12V 60Ah battery in my 2017 Fiesta (Petrol, manual, stop start) needs replacing.

Any reason why I can't fit a Yuasa EFB096 which appears to be the same physical size but has better capacity (75AH) and better cold cranking (700A)?

Does the car need to be told, by some devious button process that it has a new battery - that is what may need to be done at replacement.

Then, if you fit a different capacity one from that is in the software, that could need to be altered otherwise the charging circuit could get mixed up.

Actually, I don't know but my comment should keep this at the top of the list, for a time...

As long as it physically fits it will be fine

Yes, just fit that. It's the battery used in the diesel engine cars.
