Hi all iv just bought full leather interior for my mk4 mondeo zetec and have noticed there is not enough pins on the car harness for the seats. Does anyone have an idea if the extra wires will be on the harness. Any information is much appreciated thanks

I doubt it very much, you will need the next level door modules for memory seats too

You only need the new door modules for memory mirrors, not the seat

The memory mirrors use the seat module memory.

That's why you can't have memory mirrors without having memory seats.

Sorry should have been clearer. You can fit memory seat, (control module under the drivers seat),  and If you aren't bothered about the memory mirrors, the seat will work perfectly, you don't need to fit the door modules.

Obviously if you want memory mirrors, you need the seat module

Hi thanks for getting back to me. I’m not bothered about the memory part. Iv been to the scrapyard today and got the plugs and 10inch of wires aswell. Does anyone know when I can find a wire harness diagram.

Here is the diagram. Unfortunately its not a case of not bothering about the memory part. You have to wire everything up, 2 lives, 2 earths and 2 CAN wires (on a different diagram). The switch won't do a thing unless its all connected up

Hi all so I had a bit of a breakthrough I plugged the passenger seat in to the drivers side and the seat worked with all functions and no wiring but when I plug the drivers seat in nothing happens. Do you think there could be a problem with the seat?

Yes

That is to be expected. The passenger doesn't have memory, so no electronics as such. Just live and earth. Drivers seat needs the extra wiring for it to work. If you aren't bothered about an electric passengers seat, you could swap the (basic) motors and wiring loom over. None of the motors are sided, so will swap straight over.

Can you not find someone local who could add the 4 extra wires needed to make the drivers seat work properly?
