I hit a small deer couple of days ago and the grill and chrome cowl insert are cracked, so assume I've got to pull bumper off and find replacement parts. Has anyone done this or knows if there is a diagram or youtube I can follow. I tried youtube but couldn't find anything. 

 

parts I need are FORD C-MAX MK2 Front Bumper Grille Surround Trim 1699240

and FORD C-MAX MK2 Front Bumper Lower Grille AM51-17B968-BD 1740065

If it's anything like the Fiesta, then the bumper stays on the car but the whole grille pulls off.....Black part & chrome trim all as one, chrome part is tightly clipped to the black part, as yours is shot it'll be easy to pull off, just a load of push in/pull out black clips that are moulded into the black plastic.

Fitting the new parts back on is just a matter of pushing the clips firmly and evenly through the slots, you'll hear a re-assuring 'clip' noise as the back engages.

I'd replace both parts.

thanks, I'll have a go seeing what I can push in and out. Much better to just replace these two from exterior if possible. Will let you know. And also have a few close looks at Fiestas to compare. 

It's more complicated than simple in and out. The grille is separate from the cowling although they snap together as one, then perhaps fit from front. In taking the old unit out, I've taken off the lower plastic pan and can see the clip joints. Probably will need to take out the upper smaller grille with ford insignia in to get at top clips. Will let people know.
