Air con O rings

Featured Replies

Hi, just wondered if anyone has an exploded diagram and part numbers for the O rings, got the a/c re - gassed yesterday, ***** frozen so was delighted with the outcome of the re gas until I looked through the front grille and seen a green luminous wet patch at the bottom LHS where the pipe joins the condenser,  the car passed the vacuum test before the gas but now leaking under pressure.  Anyone else had it leaking here? 20250613_214925.thumb.jpg.64dc8d234fc27a62b100eb44aafb0bc1.jpg

Yes, that's exactly where my 2012 Focus leaked.  But even after replacing that pipe there was a leak somewhere else.  Couldn't be found with leak dye so assumed to be inside.  That condenser looks knackered as well.  Can't be much airflow getting through all those crushed fins!

You can see exploded diagrams here: Ford - Catcar.info

Put your VIN in to narrow down the choices as much as possible.  AC parts are under 'Electrical'.

Are you sure it's coming from the air-con, as the gas is usually colourless, and evaporates? If you blow the picture up, it looks to me as if it might be green anti-freeze, coming from the main radiator.

It's probably fluorescent AC leak dye.  Need a UV light to see it properly.

Hi thanks for response, you mentioned "pipe" - I am assuming an O ring at the join?

I know the condenser looks terrible yes

I had to replace the full pipe on mine for some reason.  Can't remember why now.  (It was 7 years ago).
