Advice on Sync 3 Maps update.

I recently updated my Sync 3 to version 3.0 followed by updating the Maps.

All went well with the download and installation in the car until after 40 mins a pop-up said “Key cycle required” so I turned off the engine got out of the car and locked the door. I waited about 3 mins and unlocked the car and started the engine as per instructions.

At this stage the instructions say “wait 2 mins and a pop-up will say “installation complete” but after leaving it running (while I am in the car) still no pop-up so I switched of the engine thinking I must have missed it.

I then put the flash drive in my computer, opened the My Ford website to up-load the “Log File” and browed to and click on the log file “Sync_NW78005X_**************** (*= my vin No) this brings up 3 options

1.         Upload from mobile

2.        Open

3.        Cancel

If I click “Upload from mobile” I get a pop-up from Microsoft Edge saying “Not supported in private and guest mode”.                              

If I click “Open” it takes me back to My Ford Sync and Maps update web page that tells me that “Sync is up to date but Maps is showing “Updates available.

I checked back on the car and it shows I have Maps version F13 which I believe is the latest version so how can I get the “Log File” back to Ford” to update the records.
