Please help 1.6tdci 2008

Featured Replies

Hi I've got a 2008 1.6tdci c max that seems to lack low end power especially on hills start wheelie have to give it alot of rmp to get it moving and sometimes stalls on hills and flat ground once it hits around 1700rpm it's ok and seems to boost well with no black or white smoke has anyone experienced this before and have a solution

If there are no fault codes, live data will need to be looked at (turbo, fuel etc) and/or it will need to be diagnosed correctly.

I think there are multiple possibilities unless someone has a crystal ball?

That is correct, there is no Boost at Idle.

Is this a 90 or 110ps version?

90 only has a conventional wastegate turbo so does need more revs to make more boost.

110 has a wider boost range due to VNT, but still not from idle.
