No.

It was never popular and not a great looker but it is a rare thing so if you keep it for another thirty years, then maybe. Then again, Legionnaires disease is rare, too and nobody wants that either. A rust free Ka mk1 if such a thing could be found would be a much better bet for classic status.

In my opinion a leak free MK2 CC with the 2.0 Duratec engine with the Titanium trim level and also the right color (Metallic blue with tan leather interior) has the potential to become a future classic.

Unfortunately the MK2 CC is well known for a leaking roof and since most of the CC specific parts are no longer available from Ford keeping these cars both leak free and in good condition is becoming harder and harder.

The CC specific parts being no longer available will become a challenge. Many examples already ended on the scrapyard because relatively simple parts like the rear lights, tailgate or rear bumper or even windows, window mechanisms and roof/window seals are no longer available.

There are also only a few specialists left that still have knowledge of the complex CC roof system. The average Ford dealership will not even touch them in case of roof problems.

I foresee that most examples will already be scrapped by the reasons mentioned above before the CC even has a chance to become a classic.

I feel Ford's broader appeal has started to wane.

Some original KAs, mainly SportKa I think will be a future collectors

All original Puma 1.7s

ST170s and MK1 Focus RS, maybe even some lower spec models

MK3.5 Focus RS, maybe, people don't seem to be going on much about that

MK2 Focus RS and STs (Maybe)
Fiesta MK7 & 8 STs (but not 8.5s)

And, of course, the New Crapi 😆😆😆😆😆😆🤪 Yeah! Like!

It's an interesting one. Last classic show I was at, some fairly mundane Fords were getting as much attention as the RS Escorts and 2.8I Capris. There seemed to be two categories sparking interest:

a) Cars you'd wanted years ago but couldn't actually afford

b) Cars you'd actually had, just out of of nostalgia for past times

For example I spent ages chatting to a guy with an "as new" 1.1L Mk 1 Fiesta, and various MG Midget owners, as well as the E-Types, etc.
