Ignition switch location

Featured Replies

Hi,

I would like to know where the ignition switch is and how to get to it. I need to replace it.

I have a 2015 C-Max 1.5TDCI. this is a push button start system.

I am having intermittent starting issues where sometimes when the start button is pushed I here some electrical clicks but the engine does not try to turn over. It isn't the clutch pedal sensor or just button itself

Thank

Hi James, you have a lot to learn about the workings of modern car electronics. There is "no ignition switch" the start process is controlled by a collection of modules (computers) that react to the command signal from the 'Start' button to begin the start sequence.

If you want to diagnose the intermittent start process then you will need to use FORScan to get the Ford specific DTC's and then possibly monitor live data.
