Good morning everybody, I am wondering what the gearbox code is for a 2012 Focus Econetic 1.6 tdci has anyone any got any ideas.

There should be a part number label on the gearbox somewhere.

I presume you're after a replacement??

The econetic has a unique gearbox, the replacement part number MUST fully match the one fitted to your vehicle

Yes, just been looking sure its mounted by the n/s driveshaft currently on sickness unable really to check at the moment was just wondering if able to check via VIN number.

A Ford part dept may be able to tell you the part number from the VIN

I have manged to find AV6R 7201 JC, I understand that this might be the selector part number? would the box then be AV6R-7201 for the gear box ?

 

No.  The final two letters are the important part.  Likely to be GJ, KJ or ND on this engine.

No.  That's for the selector turret, not the gearbox.

Where is the code located ?

Should be a sticker next to the N/S driveshaft.  But I think you already knew that.

The 42 shouldn't matter.  KH is the important part.
