New owner Gen-E Puma Sound Edition

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, hope your Ford model finds you well,

just gone against my grain and gone electric for the first time, I’m a bit nervous but thought let’s go for it, I have upgraded from my Puma ST line 23 plate from new, now after reading reviews I have gone for the Gen-E Puma Sound edition l, it will arrive in 2 weeks time so will post once I can give a honest assessment after I get use to the change to electric??

hopefully someone can point me in the right direction to puma Gen-E posts where I can get some advice and tips to get the best out of this model.

thanks everyone

Mike

Hi Mike, welcome.

There is a thread on the Gen-e in the Puma forum, but as (I think) you're only the second owner so far there isn't much actual experience on there at present.

Look forward to hearing how you get on.

Numbers are growing fast according to the government.

This time next year, there could be double that amount. 🤣

They must have registered at least 33 -thats the number for sale used on AutoTrader last time I looked. I assume they are mostly ex-demos.

Thaks for the welcome everyone.

sounds like the cars not top of your to buy list then 🤔. Had the test drives and was really impressed by the drive and also some good video reviews coming out regarding performance and comparioon to similar cars.

Hopefully will be able to come back and give positive reviews 🤫

As with a lot of the general population there is a certain amount of bias against electric cars on this forum. That doesn't make your car a bad one. Most of the people on here won't have tried an electric car of any sort never mind a Puma.

I have never driven an electric car, I can't afford to buy one and even if I could afford one I don't really want one, that's just me sticking with petrol cars that I understand and know will do the job that I want a car to do.

My sister has an electric car, she covers about 16,000 miles a year in it and is very happy with it. Her next car will also be electric.

Looking forward to your review, it looks like we will all eventually be forced to move away from burning dinosaur juices. 🙂

As well as the thread on the Puma Gen-e  linked earlier, there's a very active thread on alternatives to petrol cars (and a lot of other stuff, it must be said!😀) here if you want to join that discussion:

I think most will very much appreciate reading your feedback on the Puma. There has been very little interest in the Explorer, Capri and Mach E Mustang on here, but as the Puma in general is a best selling model your comments will be relevant to a lot more people.

Plenty of stuck in the past motorists on this forum. Usual comments from folk that never even sat in an electric car. I've got ( not a ford)  an EV and last 3 years,40k only had a 12v battery failure.

There's quite a few  EV pumas on the road now via the rental companies . Also octopusEV are having a steady flow of pumas too .

It's not noticble at first glance if it's a petrol or electric From a distance.
