New to the ford owners club forum but have owned Fords all of my driving life.

My car ownership has been very limited in terms of age range with the majority of my cars being made between 1995 - 2001 until recently i made the jump to a car made in 2015.

First car I owned was a P Reg Fiesta Mk4. Unfortunatley this collided with a fiat cinquecento on the A130 and ceased to be after 4 years of ownership.

Next was a S Reg Fiesta Mk4 but this time with colour coded bumpers, electric windows and a sunroof. Luxury at the time but unfortunately collided with a wall whilst I was attempting to get the back end out on a slightly damp roundabout. That marked the end of my "boy racer" phase.

More grown up car next was my much cherished R Reg Ford Escort. My first car with Air Con. I never looked back after that. Fortunately no accidents but was put out of its misery after 9 or so years of ownership due to an MOT failure list as long as my arm

Next was a stop gap car which turned into a decent run around for the past 9 years. Another Fiesta Mk4. Was only going to have the car for a year or 2 but was so easy smooth to drive I kept hold of it for much longer than I had expected.

My current car is a my first foray into Focus ownership, purchasing a Mk3 (facelift model) back in October 2024. Had been looking for some time and wondered why Fords were so cheap, then found out about the wet belt issue and the Eco-"boom" nicknames. Luckily the previous owner spent close to £2000 on a full service / wetbelt change and other bits a year before they sold so really lucked out on that.

Hi welcome
