Fuel pressure regulator

I have had a few engine lights come on and currently the only one yet to clear is for a fuel pressure regulator control circuit (2L tdci) 

any idea where to find on the engine as I can’t find anything similar 

cruising on motorway is only bringing me around 45mpg so have a feeling there may be a issue somewhere making it run rich as otherwise the car feels fine

    The Fuel Pressure Regulator is on the high pressure fuel pump.  May also be called a fuel metering valve.  That code is more likely to be caused by a wiring fault than the regulator itself.
