How do I obtain the PCM code for my Ford Tourneo Connect

Featured Replies

How do I obtain the PCM details to input into Forscan in order that the program can recognise my vehicle?

I'm not sure what it is you are looking for.

You just need to connect FORScan using the correct device and it will read all your modules.

When I connect Forscan it tells me it can't identify vehicle and wants me to enter the PCM details of the vehicle. I've found out that the PCM details are printed on the back of the ECU but I haven't a clue where the ECU is on my car. Car is 2022 Ford Tourneo Connect. I'm using the Vgate Vlinker to connect.

Are you using a Windows laptop ?

Also just checking that this a genuine Ford vehicle and not the VW version.

Has it been remapped?

Some remaps mess up the firmware part number and then FORScan and more importantly Ford can't read the PCM

If so, have it reverted back to standard and try again.

You will need to delete profile before reading again👍

As far as I know the car has not been remapped and is as a standard Ford Tourneo Connect.

So you are telling me that Forscan should be able to read the PCM of the vehicle then?

I'm using a Windows 11 laptop with the latest version of Forscan.

The cable device is Vgate vLinker FS OBD2 USB Adapter for FOR-Scan HS/MS-CAN Auto Switch

Provided you have bought the FORScan licence (£12) then you can as for support from:

OK. So I follow the links through to the Motorcraft site where you can enter the VIN of the vehicle to get the as built XML file for the vehicle.

It comes back with :-

Now need to find out what the error codes 612, 613, 614, 615 mean
