Mondeo Making A Hissing Sound On Acceleration

Hi all:

I've had my 02 mondeo tdci for just under a year now. She's ran like a dream until now.....

recently I've been hearing a hissing sound during acceleration but with no loss of power.

However tonight as I was driving home I noticed a massive loss of power (as if the turbo had gone).

The hissing sound is now a lot less audible (if its there at all) but am hoping it's just a split hose and not the turbo itself.

Any advice would be appreciated.....

    check the intercooler hose on the bottom of the egr valve it common for them to split and would give the symptoms you have.
