My Grand tourneo connect has three 12 volt cigarette lighter type plugs, 2 in centre console and 1 above speedo under a lid, but I wondered if there were any spare ways in a fuse board that are switched on with the ignition? reason being , my dash cam.. currently plugged into centre console but have to keep remembering to unplug it as it stays live all the time? My previous vehicle (Honda CR-V) didnt have this issue so I`m thinking of maybe running the wiring to a fuse board and doing it that way?

There is a small fuse board in the rear drivers side, but thats too far to get to with the sliding doors etc so wondered if there might be anything slightly more accessible at the front?

Still working out where everything is and how it works at the minute having had a Honda for around 13 years..

Just use a 'piggy back' fuse holder and connect to fuse 3.

on checking this, it`s not that particular fuseboard. have attached pics of what is in there. Have just spent the last hour trying to find one of these that will actually work.. But finally after having a lightbulb moment and realising the piggy back needs two fuses to work, I used F85 , Ignition switch, and hey presto I now have a switched live for the dashcam.. before everyone jumps on board about the piggy back fuses, I`m not an auto electrician and there were no instructions with the 4 pack that arrived. However, lesson learnt and I have some spares should anything else require a switched live...

That's the 2016 up to 2018 fusebox/BCM 👍
