Seatbelt warning light

Featured Replies

Hi guys….i was going to work last night,(I work nights), suddenly the seat belt alarm started going off. I had my seatbelt on as always. It was going off on a regular basis for about 20 mins, sometimes a few beeps, sometimes more. This is the first time this has happened. My seatbelt was working fine….then it stopped for about 5 mins, then started again..weird…I checked my seatbelt readout on the cars computer and it was not registering any seatbelt on.

driving home after work was fine, no further beeping.

has anybody had this issue, and if so, is it serious and can it be fixed without mechanics intervention.

🤔

Do you own a hammer ? 🤣

Seat belt buckle is not registering the belt being fastened. It could be a faulty switch inside the buckle or it could be the wiring under the seat to the buckle is damaged or has become disconnected.

Hi unofix…I will check the connection under the seat…what does the connection look like please..I don’t wanna start messing with the seatbelt buckle switch, as I don’t have a clue how to do that.

The grey connector is for the seat belt 'latch'

The yellow connector is to detonate the explosive seat belt tensioner.

😄…thanks mate

Did you have anything on passenger seat ?  That will trigger alarm if it's a certain weight.

I think I have sorted it now guys…decided not to start fiddling with connections, I could not access the connectors under the seat.

found a post on utube that appears to have solved it, I have had no further issues since my initial post here.🤞🏻
