How much antifreeze is meant to be in a ford essex v6

Featured Replies

How much antifreeze is meant to be in a ford Essex v6, about 1978.

I'm about to drain and refill the system, it is in a Triumph Stag and has been fantastic for years.

Official coolant capacity includes the radiator and the heater matrix as well as the pipework.  It's likely to be different in a Stag than it was in the Ford.  Best option is to measure how much comes out.

50% I'd say

Premix before you fill (with deionised water) and just fill up until it's full
