....but your last car didn't conform to the latest European mandate on what you can and can not do !!

Since the 2025 (Grand) Tourneo Connect is not a Ford but a rebadged VW Caddy it is completely different from the other Ford models. It cannot even be diagnosed properly using the Ford diagnostic systems.

It will most likely be possible to disable the Stop/Start system using a suitable VW specific diagnostic system. I suggest taking a look at a VW forum.

It would be good to think so, but since all efforts to permanently disable Stop/Start of Ford models using FORScan have failed, I'd expect similar in trying to turn it off on the VW system. It may be possible to have it mapped out but of course that would void the warranty.

On the latest generation VW Caddy the Start/Stop system can be disabled in 2 different ways:

Temporarily by changing the setting in the infotainment system menu.

Permanently by installing a memory module:

The memory module stores the Start/Stop setting. Instead of enabling the Start/Stop system every ignition cycle it just remembers the last setting.

This should also work on a 2025 (Grand) Tourneo Connect as long as Ford did not do massive changes to the VW software.

Another possibility is to build a microprocessor with CANbus connectivity that sets the Start/Stop system to disabled every time the ignition is switched on. I have done this before on other vehicles that do not allow to disable the Start/Stop system permanently like for example the Focus MK4.5.

Thanks everyone it looks like the module route, but will look into the VW forum for answers.
