Grand Connect 1.5 EcoBlue has wet belt?

Featured Replies

Just bought 2021 grand Connect and thought I’d be all right with a diesel engine but have heard it might have a wet belt. Keep getting different info, can anyone confirm if it does have a wet belt?

what is the (real life) recommendation for oil changes and belt replacement? Am guessing it’s more frequent than what Ford recommends

1.5 EcoBlue never had a wetbelt.

It does have a chain between the camshafts that breaks regularly.  A thicker chain was fitted from around 2023, and older models can have this chain retrofitted for peace of mind.

The dry cambelt is recommended every 10 years or 100,000 miles.  The chain has no official replacement interval.
