( not question ) to change gear linkage cables 02 -13. Remove centre console parts, unclip the cables, remove lover section of foot/floor blower, then as picture shows gain entry how you wish to about half way under [ l cut the flooring and the hard sound proofing ] l decided on this method because l fitted a new flooring on top of the original, then remove the 2 support plates ( 3 10mm bolts each side ) then removethe( 2 place a jack under the gearbox to hold it up, then remove the gearbox mount ( 4 17mm ), then the ( 1 19mm ), lower the gearbox as far as it goes, then you have space to see and remove the cables from the gearbox then pull them through into the van. Refit is reversal of removal.

I haven't had a drink of booze in over 20yrs actually 🙃..

But to answer it properly l put it in as a non question for anyone who might want to look it up given this section is nothing like the focus /fiesta / mondeo and so on with a guides section  for this sort of thing to be put in. I don't want to be messing up the site just randomly posting where ever l think it should be given there's a lot of complaints about that sort of thing.

Well if you only own a modern vehicle it's of no use. because given everything is controlled by electric signals.. hence why there so 💩 nowadays.. even if they can move faster.
