Keyless keyfob programming

Featured Replies

My dad has a 2011 c-max with push button start (so no keyhole on the steering column).

For some reason both keyfobs stopped working. We changed the batteries but still no luck. I keep seeing online tutorials of putting the key in the ignition, turning on and off a number of times until a beep and then pressing a button on the keyfob to program. It even explains in the owners manual. But I can't find anywhere how to program the keyless fobs??

I can get in the car with the emergency key and put the keyfob in the space where a "normal" key would go and drive the car with no problems.

Any advice welcome 🙂

They've both not been working sporadically over the last few days but today won't work at all.

I do have a multimeter. What shall I test?
