Hi everyone i have a mk2 ford c-max 2014 I was having my mot test a few days ago mid way through my car stopped garage said it was timing belt. But 5 minutes before I put 30 diesel in from a local tesco.

I did have a new timing belt about 3 years

any ideas?

    Hi,

    Which engine is it? First we definitely need to confirm whether the camshaft is still turning over, or whether it's just the crankshaft spinning on the starter.

    Secondly, have you checked you definitely put diesel in it? Not petrol by accident? Shouldn't be possible with EasyFuel but nothing is 100% failsafe.

    Just had a look timing belt still good.

    As for putting in fuel 100% put in diesel as sometimes the pump is difficult to pull out of the car it happened that morning.
