Fiesta 1.0 wet belt problem

Featured Replies

Hi all,

In the process of changing the wet belt.
I fitted the cam locking tool, flywheel locking tool, crankshaft pin and mounted the torque multiplier to undo the crank bolt then marked the positions on all of those.
Upon turning the multiplier with some force the flywheel locking tool that sits between the teeth had sheared somehow (Laser brand) and so now the flywheel, crank pulley, and cam gear markings do not line up. The crankshaft pin is not touching either.
If I spin the crank pulley clockwise I can get the markings lined up again (apart from the cam gears, the markings still look slightly off), however when I let go of the ratchet bar it starts to go anti clockwise on it’s own so the markings don’t line up again.

Any help on this appreciated.

Thanks
