2012 Zetec - Wheel Buttons

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I have a 2012 Fiesta Zetec and the steering wheel buttons have never seemed to work, is this a common fault?

I was wondering if there was anything I can try to get them working?

Many thanks,

They do break quite often. Ford still sell them new for around £50, but you might be able to find a good used set for less.

Genuine Ford Fiesta Mk7 Steering Wheel N/S LH Audio Control Switch 1756753 | eBay UK

Perfect thanks

To change the switches you have to remove the airbag because the switch wires go behind it, this is a bit of a ballache if you've never done it before - remove main battery terminals - remove plastic steering wheel surrounds - there's two hidden clips that are behind the back of the steering wheel, these take some sussing out as they hold the airbag, soon as they are unclicked the airbag is loose, then carefully unclip & remove the airbag, the plastic surround is held in place by 3 torx screws.
