Premature Clutch Wear

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a 2024 Ford Focus Active X Estate 1.0 ecoboost manual. Current mileage is only 7750. My clutch has failed; I took it to the dealer from where I purchased it and because of the low mileage I fully expected the repair to be covered under the warranty. A diagnostic test was carried out and I was informed that the issue was down to driver error which I find hard to believe. I have been driving for 55 years and I know how to drive I am retired, the car is used purely for domestic, no racing no rough terrain and no carrying heavy loads. I have heard there are issues with premature wear of clutches with is model including involving problems with the release of the electronic parking break. I am looking to challenge the dealership decision and would appreciate any thoughts or other known similar issues.

Thanks

Ken Goodspeed

Hi welcome

Hi Ken, welcome to the forum 😁

Hope you get this issue sorted.

Hi Ken, I have just racked up 140,000 miles on my S-Max original clutch so I can't believe it's your fault........
