Guide - Timing Belt / Water Pump for 1.6 Ti-VCT Question

Featured Replies

Just a quick question. I'm planning on changing my timing belt and water pump next Tuesday (weather permitting) on my Fiesta 1.6 Zetec S. I'm planning on taking plenty of photos while doing this and want to do a bit of a guide for anyone wishing to attempt the same. I've done a search and can only find the 1.25 guide (correct me if i'm wrong) and wondering if it just need to create a new topic in the main section and if acceptable be moved by a mod to the how to guides section? Or just create in the guides section? I have all the required parts (Dayco/Ford OE) and the relevant timing locking tools.

I'm also replacing the thermostat housing, and a few pipes only while the alternator is off purely due to easy access and the age of the car, so not sure if to include these in the guide or not.
