Faulty window wipers

Featured Replies

Hi i have a fiesta 1ltr ecoboost and the window wipers aren’t working correctly, when i pull the levers for the front washer the water only comes out one side at the front & pours out the rear & the rear wiper comes on & the front ones dont come on, if i press the rear washer the front wipers come on, i ordered a new wiper stalk but same thing happened, i have checked the fuses & there is a ticking coming from behind the glove box is this relay related? Any advice would be much appreciated

Hi,

These functions are controlled by the BCM. That is under the glovebox, but doesn't have replaceable relays like older cars did. First check is an easy one, unplug the plugs and check for any signs of water or corrosion inside them. If all looks good, reseat the plugs and make sure they're tight.

I'm also wondering this could be an electrical fault within the pump motor itself. That would be the cheaper part to replace if so.
