Changing to DAB in mk5 Fiesta

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a mk5 Fiesta '05 plate.

The radio is on its way out and needs to be replaced. I want to get a 1 DIN DAB radio with a harness kit plus upgrade the aerial on the roof.

Has anyone done this to their Mk5? All the kits I can find don't include a good enough inner harness to support the DAB radio, and are vague about what aerial to buy / how to fit.

You should be able to buy a DAB antennae for a stand alone unit

Or buy a unit with a pop out screen, Carplay/AA and use internet radio

You can use a splitter for the antenna so you can use your original antenna..I used a separate roof antenna that I put at the rear of the roof .

I didn't change my radio though..I fitted autdabs modulator and tuned it into a station on the radio..took 30 mins to fit the unit and it worked very well..don't bother with a screen antenna as the dropped signal a lot
