Mk8 Fiesta DRL Issue

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have just brought a fiesta Mk (2018) 1L titanium and noticed that the dipped headlights come on during the even though the DRLs should come on when I have the lighting switch in the Auto position. I have cleaned the sensor by the windshield but the issue is still there. The DRL's only come on if I set the lighting switch to O. Tried to search in the logbook and vehicle settings but unable to resolve.

Anyone that knows the issue or can help that would be great!

Thanks

Can you just explain in a bit more detail? Your post is a bit confusing

Day light:

What happens in position "0" and position "A"

Night time:

What happens in position "0" and position "A"

For clarity though

Daylight in "A" or "0" just the front LED DRLs should be on, in bright mode

Night time in "0" just the front LED DRLs should be on, in bright mode

Night time in "A" front headlamps on (dipped beam) DRLs on in dim mode, rear tail lights and number plate lights on

Hi mate thanks for the reply.

Just to clarify:

Day Light :

Position 0 - Front DRL's are on bright mode.

Position A - Dipped headlights are on along with dimmed DRLs. Cornering lights come on when turning.

Night Time:

Position 0 -Front DRL's are on bright mode.

Position A - Dipped headlights are on along with dimmed DRLs - my auto high beam assist works when its dark enough. Cornering lights come on when turning and reg lights on.

Hope this is clearer.
Thanks

Thanks,

Probably faulty rain sensor on screen

Was thinking this also, the cars going in later this week for wet belt and water pump change so I will get them to check over the rain sensor as well.

Thanks
