Panoramic Roof won’t close

Featured Replies

Hi all as the title suggests I am having an issue closing my panoramic roof it’s worked fine up until today when I was showing a family member the car and we opened the roof, when we went to close it it got halfway slowed right down then reopened as if it was obstructed. I have since managed to get it closed by pressing the button over and over again and it closing a couple of mm each time.

Anybody else have similar issues

Have had the same problem. I bought this and applied it to the sunroof rails once 4 years ago and haven't had the problem since.

Thanks I’ll give it go

Use white grease on these mechanisms

Open it fully, with the engine running and lubricate all the channels and mechanisms and the same in tilt mode

Ok so update, roof and channels have been greased, still have an issue where it opens fine on tilt and closes it opens fully but when you go to close it as soon as it gets to the wind deflector it slows right down then stops and re opens fully, as if it’s seeing the deflector as an obstruction could this be a bad motor?

No, all of the full stops have fallen out of your posting and fallen into the sunroof mechanism.
