Differences between titanium X & St-line

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I’m needing to get a new car I currently have a white st-line and I feel it looks really smart and sport, I was wanting to get one with some added extras like , rear view camera , heated seats but struggling to find anywhere. I’ve came across the titanium X which has all the extras I wanted. What would be the main differences between the two that I’d probably notice? Would it be a down grade going to the titanium X in terms of looks? Would I be better to hold out and hope I can find a st line version that has the upgrades I was hoping for?

They did ST-Line X if you like the extra kit.

They gained power fold mirrors, climate control, LED tail lights, auto wipers and cruise and half leather seats.

Rear camera was an option as was heated seats and steering wheel

You could look for one of those with the options you want on if you want to keep the "sporty" look

The Vignale is very very good spec too

Looks are a personal matter but a Titanium X is obviously less "sporty looking" than an ST-L - it lacks lowered suspension, bodykit, black grille, bigger alloys, etc. As Dave mentions, ST-Line X is roughly an ST-Line with some of the stuff found on Titanium X. But even then, some items were still options (like reverse sensors/cameras.)

Ford were constantly amending the spec (and cost options) of the Mk 8/8.5 throughout its life. My advice would be to take the time to list your personal "must-haves" and check very carefully that a vehicle of interest actually has them - don't rely on an advert or what a salesperson tells you.

In general, the later models - the 2021-on facelift (Mk 8.5) in particular - have inferior spec to the earlier cars.
