P codes after gearbox change on 2018 St Line

Featured Replies

Hi, We had the gearbox changed on my sons 2018 1.0 St -Line 6 seed manual gearbox), it was done by a family friend who is a mechanic and everything seems to be working brilliantly apart from the spanner alert. It doesn't seem to be affecting the way the car drives and apart from the alert, no signs of any issues at all

I put forscan on yesterday and it is showing 3 errors. P086C, P08AF and P26C3 (this is the one throwing the warning light). I just wanted to see if there are any plugs / sensors that I can get to so I can check them or do we need to do a reset or something?

He will have a look at again if needed but I just wanted to avoid mithering him and do some initial fault finding first

The sensor is on top of the gearbox. Just under the selector mechanism. First check is that's actually plugged in. If plug is clean & tight then the sensor may have been damaged by damp if it came from a scrap car.

Thanks, I'm doing his brakes over the weekend (weather permitting) so will check then
