Fiesta clutch alignment

Featured Replies

I have this Fiesta y 2009, 1.4 which has gone almost 200Mm

Gear shift is very tight and require precise control, which is preferable against a sloppy one. Meanwhile we have a manual BMW, and would like a close to similar response in the Fiesta, which might be a tall order.

Worst thing though is that the clutch struggle to disengage. When shift to reverse gears protest with the pedal to the floor. It is not the wellknown issue regarding a missing clip to lock the plastic rod on the tap.

Looking at the pedal I find that the pedal can move 3-ish centimeters before it really activate the cylinder. Likewise the plastic rod for the master cylinder moves about 6 mm before any notiseable resistance.

As I see this problem would go away, if the plastic rod were - say 5mm longer.

Anyone knows about this issue?
