Fiesta seat swap

Featured Replies

Good afternoon.

I've just inherited a 2009 Fiesta Van 1.4 base (Mk7 ???)

Its been parked up for a while and seems to have the old fiesta problem of moisture ingress. ( I think its from the rear lights & vents - I'll get to that later)

...... the seats & door cards are covered in mold.

I want to replace these and maybe the carpet too - not sure how bad that is yet.

My question is this:-

Can I get ANY seats/door trims for a 3dr Fiesta from 2008 onwards? ......or is there a cut-off date for later facelift models?

Also - I don't yet know if some of the higher spec models had electric seats - would the wiring be in the car aready, or would I need to avoid any of these?

Many thanks in advance for any/all help with this

I have a Fiesta from same year, probably with the same seats.

I guess that you have the same connectors on your seats. The heater element(s) goes through the blue one.

I am also preparing for a replacement, as I have another set from a y2014. However these have six connectors, as the heating part are more complicated. I will get back to that later.

If you get a set of newer seats like mine, then treat the yellow one with caution, as this is for side airbag! Our cars are not prepared for that, so leave the yellow connector alone!

If you have a multimeter, you might be able to help me. What do you measure from pin to pin on the blue connector WITH the on-button depressed?
