Wheel Alignment / Balancing

Featured Replies

Noticed a "slight" wobbling in the steering wheel whenever my Fiesta (2020 1L Trend) gets up to 70mph.

Car was in at Kwik Fit today for Wheel Alignment check, but they couldn't find anything amiss. Checked suspension too and, again, no observations.

Anybody have any other ideas which might be causing it ? Only had it a couple of months so still under warranty, so am I better just getting the dealership to give it a full onceover too ?

I had similar with bent wheels years back (Mk 7 Fiesta purchased through Ford Direct). Probably even more common nowadays.

I would be checking the wheels for signs of a detached balance weight.

Thanks for the replies. Everything passed at Kwik Fit - wheel alignment, wheel balancing and suspension check, but they did confirm that the front passenger alloy has a "slight flat spot" probably caused by knocking a kerb in its past life so alloy repair it is.

Could have been worse I guess.

I hope the warranty covers it.

Swap front wheels to back and see if it changes or disappears..
