2021 Fiesta ST-3 Alarm

Featured Replies

Hello,

When I first bought my car the battery kept dying and the alarm was going off every 6 hours or so. Got a new battery and haven’t had an issue for 2 years. The alarm has started going off again so got a new battery however the issue is still happening. Whilst driving there is an occasional notification that pops up on the dashboard that says the bonnet is open. I have got headlight eyelids but have never had this notification pop up before. Anyone know how I can fix this?

If you're sure the eyelids aren't pushing the bonnet up then it's likely the latch needs replacing. There is a tiny microswitch inside that breaks but can't be replaced separately.

If you are getting bonnet open warnings that's why the alarm is going off
