U0151 Lost communication with restraint control module

Featured Replies

Hi team

I have a 2009 mk9 fiesta 1.6tdci that won't start.

It turns over, but thats about it.

I scanned it with forscan and I had a couple of U0257 Lost communication codes (ill include images) and a U0151 lost communication with restraint control module error.

The 2 u0257 codes i managed to clear just by cleaning the connector that goes into the central screen.

But the U0151 code remains.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this at all?

Ive tested the resistance on OBD pins 6 and 14 and that returned 61 ohms which i understand is good.

I would like to test between the RCD and the IPC? (Instrument Cluster) but i could do with a wiring diagram if anyone has one?

Or have any ideas /tips?

its been suggested that maybe the cluster has some bad joints. So im going to try and delve into them.

Is there anything around the headlights that could cause an issue? As the bulbs were changed the day before the car died.

Any help appreciated, and thank you in advance
