2020 Ford Fiesta ST - Volume stuck on 0 (B&O sound system)

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

New to the forums but thought I would make a post about the above issue.

This issue arrose this morning when I first turned on the car. The volume indicator would appear when turning the volume knob and buttons on the steering wheel but wouldn't change from 0. Upon researching the forums and other sources it was suggested to reset the head unit (holding volume knob down and skip forward button at the same time) and if that failed disconnect and reconnect the battery to reset it. Neither of these fixed the issue.

Upon further investigation I found people had mentioned the DSP Module located beneath the drivers seat could have either blown a fuse or failed.

I decided to investigate this myself and unplugged the wiring into the DSP Module and reseated them before restarting my car and trying the volume again. This actually fixed the issue I had and the sound system appears to be working fine now, I guess when moving the drivers seat forward or back that it might have tugged on one of the wires or something?

Anyway, I thought I would just make a post about this issue incase anyone else has the same issue and can't see any broken wires or anything like that!
