Fiesta Clutch Pedal Clicking?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I’ve got a 2007 Ford Fiesta Zetec S, and today the clutch pedal suddenly started making a noise. It sounds a bit like a piston sliding in and out whenever I press the pedal, and there’s also a noticeable click near the end of the pedal travel.

The clutch still feels normal, and the car changes gear fine, but the noise definitely wasn’t there before today. The sound seems to be coming from around the pedal area inside the car rather than the engine bay.

Just wondering if anyone’s had this before or knows what usually causes it on these Fiestas? Could it be something simple like the pedal mechanism or master cylinder, or is it a sign that the clutch itself is starting to go?

also if this, would be possible to fix myself with limited mechanical skills?

Any help appreciated, thanks.
