Heated seats & steering wheel reset after turning car off?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've just got hold of my new (to me) Focus (24 plate, Mk4.5) and enjoying the car so far and all the new bells and whistles this one has.

One thing I can't work out so far though is why the last setting for the heated seats and steering wheel remain after I've turned the car off. I thought it would reset and default back to off the next time I start the car. Is there a setting which I need to look for in order to do enable this? I find it annoying getting in the car the next time and having to turn things off. I'd rather turn things on as and when I need rather than the reverse.

I've looked at the manual but all it says is : Note: The heated seats may turn on when you start your vehicle if they were on when you switched your vehicle off. My question is why though?

Any ideas or is this a Ford 'thing' that I'll just need to get used to?

Thanks
